Hampton Inn Opelousas

The staff was very friendly, nice, and accommodating. The rooms were clean and well-stocked with towels, and the shared facilities were also well-maintained. The only downside was that the thermostat didn’t seem to work properly and I couldn’t quite get the room as cool as I prefer for sleeping. Overall, I would definitely stay here again, as it’s the best option in town. I did go to Waffle House for breakfast since the hotel's options were limited.

Positive: The Customer Service was Awesome. They went above and beyond. The manager was great. Hotel employee was great also. Didn’t get others names. Negative: The only thing they didn’t have towels timely but they switched them out and gave us more than enough once they were ready which was great not to have to ask for more the next day.

Most importantly is that the staff is friendly and service oriented. No issues there. In general the hotel is dated and signage makes it difficult to find. The entrance drive is not maintained. There are old tvs and no channel directory available. My guess is that this property has been forgotten by Hilton and won't be here for long.

My room wasn’t ready when I came in , even when I checked in via the Hilton app. I usually order a digital key and never received a notice that my key was ready. I showed up at 345 pm and Miss Felicia, the front deck manager was able to help me. Thank you so much! This is my first stay in the Hampton Inn Opelousas. The hotel appears to be well maintained, the room( I got an upgrade as a Diamond member) #423 , was very clean, smelled nice, spacious, and a comfortable King bed. I’ll provide an update when I leave. 2/5/26: Also props to Elena and Alicia for their warm hospitality! I’ll be back!

Upon arrival guest check in wasn't friendly. Arried to room, door open, unlocked. Room was decent. Fell asleep 930pm. At 11pm, awakened by loud rumbling noise on our floor. Called front desk, explained we were awakened by rumblingnoise and had to be up by 6am to travel. Clerk gave explanations a game just ended and students would settle down. Asked for another floor, she replied there wasn't any to accommodate. At 1130pm, still rumbling, noisy, unable to s leep. 😠 very disappointed and disturbed. Will not choose this hotel again.
