Space Center RV Park

Office staff very helpful and nice. They have nice private showers and a nice outdoor pool. 85% of spaces are occupied with people who have been there for 1-5 years. Maneuverability is very very tight due to small spaces. You can fit a 45 foot Trailer in some spots but it very very tight. The park was built in 1970's when RV's were much smaller. We only stayed 2 nights because we wanted to visit Johnson Space Center which is 5 miles away, next time we would find another place

The power boxes and many of the rvs are infested with red wasps which get much more numerous and active in spring and summer. We found ourselves having wasps come into the house and chase us when walking around outside our rv. The sewer overflowed twice during heavy summer rains. The lot and parking flooded. There were potholes and ruts in the back of the park. Worst of all, the manager cut off our power after we pre-paid in advance for a full month of electric water trash and lot rent. Our food went bad. He came to my lot and confonted me, blamed his maintenance man, then told me my car belonged in a scrap yard when I told him his rv power boxes were damaged in many places and needed repairs. The following mornjng, he called me and then demanded more money when I visited the office before

Did not receive services that were agreed upon when reservation was made. Wanted way to much personal information ( Which I didn't give!) could not understand (broken English and the so called manager did not help whatsoever. No assistance given in locating any type of site seeing. This is not an RV campground like advertised. It is for long term stay only. Also allowed door to door salesman to bang on my door!

We have been traveling a long time and staying at RV parks all over. I would never recommend staying here. Lot sizes are way small, this is not a good transient place as most here are living here full time. Dogs are off the leashes and just not a good place at all. Will never come back.

I called in the same day to book a space for my camper van. The front desk person was handling everything smoothly and offer tickets discount to space center and discount for AAA membership. The price was good, the site is excellent with showers, rest rooms, pool, hookup. All is well maintained. Few miles to Space Center.’
