Southern Inn & Suites Lamesa Texas

Positive: nothing Negative: Lobby was literally filled with dirty laundry piled 3ft on top of counter 12 ft long (not the check-in counter but in the same room). The King size room had only sheets and one thin blanket, no comforter or spread. Tub was rusty. TV tiny.

I will never stay at this hotel again. When we arrived the toilet seat had old urine on it. The toilet bowl was dirty. The towels were old, thin and cheap. There were visible dead bugs on the carpet and bathroom floor. The door had big gaps which allowed bugs to fly in at night. These bugs were attracted to the light, which meant we had bugs on the walls, ceiling and on the TV screen. I even killed a wasp! And I’m allergic to bees!

We found this place online and read all the good reviews. I always prefer to spend my money in a small business rather than a big chain. It is obvious that hospitality and Cleanliness is on top of their priorities. This place is run by good people who care about guests. Breakfast is AWESOME. So much better than other hotels. We came to eat about 15 min before it shuts down, and so did another family. When staff noticed they replenished anything they thought we would need. The lady made fresh waffle batter for us and it was so much better than other hotels. The pool was closed due to a sand storm but you can tell the have been cleaning a lot b cause of the cleanliness around the building. We checked in late at night and I was somewhat lost so I called and the front desk person gave me dire

The rooms are very nice it is my choice of a place to say when I need a motel in Lamesa. The manager was extremely accommodating and very helpful and very kind. Great place to stay.

You have to call a number to even get in the lobby. Upon arrival, the desk clerk was quick to unlock the lobby door and check us in (it was 6pm). The room was fine enough. The hotel no longer serves breakfast which is also fine. However, when leaving, the number you call to get front desk assistance would not answer the phone at 8 am and I called six times. We had left personal belongings out room and needed back in. When checking in, we were instructed to leave the keys in the room when leaving so we had no way back in. This was very upsetting. Having a front desk clerk is a basic service when staying at a hotel.
