South Wind Motel

South Wind Motel is conveniently located to pier, convenient store and several restraunts with in walking distance. Upon arrival we were greeted by a great lady who checked us in and gave information about our stay. Room 108 was our room. Very clean and plenty of towels. Now this hotel in historic to Kure Beach. It's very basic.. so if you are looking to relax and enjoy a quiet place to stay this is a great choice. It has a small pool out back next to beach. Walk to beach through private walkway is only yards from your room. Plenty room to park but a very small establishment. These folks welcomed us in an treat you as family. I was informed if you book again they treat you with discount on room. We'll be back!!

The staff are very friendly & helpful, plus the location is ideal for Kure Beach activities. The rooms are clean, but very basic. There is free wifi, pool, parking, tv, etc. However, it is a beach motel & not a luxury hotel. Not bad. I would stay there again.

We stayed here in July 2023. We were here celebrating our sons graduation. We had a blast this hotel is in the perfect location private beach access right next to the pier several restaurants that you can walk to a store across the street. The staff is amazing the rooms are so comfortable. We so loved our stay and this place has now become our go to beach vacation place to stay. We can't wait to go back next July when our middle son graduates he has done asked to go here for his graduation trip.

First time visitors to Kure beach. This is the place to stay. Right next to pier and walking distance to restaurants. Rooms were a little dated but clean and comfortable. The staff is amazing and made us feel so welcome. We will be returning to stay again. Walk to beach right outside. If you can do stairs highly recommend 2nd floor rm 210. The view was spectacular sun rise every morning. Close to all attractions. Only complaint was the fact that you have to pay to park in town and it can get expensive. We stayed close and walked to many places. Next time we will be taking advantage of the kitchenette in the room. Bring the coffee and ice not provided but everything else is there. Perfect spot to stay & relax.

Cutest little motel right on the beach! My family stayed in the family suite room last summer and this will be our new beach motel to come to each year! Private beach access, cute coffee shop and breakfast place around the corner. Not the most fancy place and pool is small but it’s exactly what we wanted - clean, affordable, and on the beach!
