We have stayed twice for work here. Both times loving the fresh air and space that comes with every spot the family that owns this place is exceptionally kind. fair prices and lots of amenities. thanks for having us. will return.

You cant go wrong visiting this place! These are the nicest people you ever want to meet. ||We had this great trip planned for the whole week...got out on the water and after about two hours our boat died...we were stranded in 83 degree weather for about three hours; way past the North Witlock boat dock. We called the South Whitlock resort and the owners found the nicest guys you ever want to meet to come to our rescue. Jack De Berg and his buddy came to our rescue...their kindness was so welcoming as we were hot and tired. We really want to thank Jack and his buddy for taking the time out of their day to help us. There are a lot of wonderful people in this world and these guys are two of them. We had to cut our trip short and left the next day...the owners only charged us for two nights.

This is an excellent place to stay for your fishing outings on Oahe. The campsites are spacious and the hotel rooms are clean & comfortable. Randy & Derek and the rest of the staff provide great customer service, whether it's a battery or fishing tips & advice they are very helpful. Their general store is stocked for your needs. It's our place to stay when we come out, should be yours too.

Great location to get away from the day-to-day worries of city life. The view of the Missouri River is spectacular! This is a place to enjoy nature, the c-store is well equipped to handle your fishing needs. While the lodging is cozy and comfortable, the picture quality on the TVs is a little grainy and there is no wifi network available. I enjoyed my stay here.

South Whitlock Resort (SWR) features a convenience store with groceries, licenses, beer, ice, gas, bait, tackle, etc . SWR has a variety of lodging options to accommodate just about everyone. Besides the campground, they also have a small motel, cabins and trailers for rent. See their website southwhitlock.com for info. They have an onsite boat ramp on Lake Oahe. Fishing guide services are also available at SWR. We booked with Curtis Lagan Guiding, see his website for info. The couple Randy and Pat Harer who own/run the place are very friendly. Randy is more than willing to bend your ear awhile if time permits. ||||There is shower/restroom building with laundry facilities. Showers were clean compared to alot of fishcamps I've been. There was no separate dressing room in each shower,
