Customer Reviews
Stayed at Sonoran Skies CG with a friend for a couple nights to check out Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument and we were happy with our site and stay. Joyce is a very accommodating and thoughtful host who kept in touch with me through our travels since we were arriving late after some car troubles and made us feel right at home. Even though showers were not available at the time of our visit, Joyce told us about free showers in the area which was much appreciated. Thank you for the lovely stay and good chat!
Sonoran Skies Campground is a unique, relaxing and intimate experience. The owner - Joyce - is, hands down, the friendliest, most personable, accommodating and caring campground host we have ever experienced. She is committed to creating a sense of community for those lucky enough to camp at Sonoran Skies. For example, she hosts a campfire surrounded by comfortable chairs every night during the winter season. Typically, all the campers participate. It is a perfect way to get to know fellow campers. As a result of the community feeling of Sonoran Skies, we developed friendships with other campers, as well as with Joyce. At the same time, you can interact as much or as little as you chose. There is absolutely no pressure. Personally, we greatly enjoyed the interaction and camaraderie we exp
Owner Joyce understands service, hospitality, and attention to detail. We camped two nights during a road trip from Ann Arbor to Borrego Springs. |Sonoran Desert hike to a gorgeous canyon in the Organ pipe monument was remarkable.|Hostess Joyce invited us to a happy hour campfire where we traded stories with fellow vagabonds over wine. |The sunset was out of this world. The small campground is laid out in a welcoming pattern with everything you need closely available.
Perfect spot to stay if you like to visit Organ Pipe National park. It is small privately owner campsite. The owner is very friendly and helpful. When we left we felt like friends. She organised a campfire one night. She brought us fresh tortillas . She also kept informing how everything was. Very good service. There is one bathroom but they are working on a shower area. I really recommend going to this campsite.
Close proximity to stove pipe nat’l monument, friendliest owner we have ever experienced. Joyce is knowledgeable about the area and appears to be involved in about every way possible to help people and animals. Dog park has a big piece of astroturf which our dogs loved. Group campfire was great. We truly enjoyed our stay and will return. Highly recommend this little gem.
