Marine Motel

Quaint room. Quiet. Nice bathtub. One star deducted for there only being two thin pillows on the bed; it wouldn't hurt to put some extra pillows in the room. Note that the parking lot is entirely gravel. Across the street from the motel is a Marathon gas station which serves hot food -- their burritos are of particularly high repute.

Under new owners/managers. As of 11/6/23 they had been operating for five days. Reviews prior to that are about the previous management. I am *not* affiliated with the new people, but I think the average rating (3 dots when I looked it up) deserves a serious revision.|The motel is definitely an older place, but is in very good maintenance. Except for a few places where fixtures had been replaced and the old mounting holes not yet filled in, it was very good. Oh, I forgot... there is a bit of a gap between the door and the frame on the handle side (the side that opens); in very hot or cold times there would be a little bit of a breeze, but the individual room HVAC unit was plenty powerful.|Linens, towels, etc., in great condition and clean. Ws not what I saw in the pictures the room we had was asungle wide not clean dirt and food on the blinds sheets covered the windows the main entrance is through the sliding door , yes very affordable but you get what you pay for. Loved the town and the view.

I'm giving this 5 stars not because the room is amazing, but because the value is amazing. The people who own it are very kind and are turning this place around. Years ago it was an awful place. Now it's clean and comfortable, albeit dated, but that's ok. There was a microwave and a dorm-style refrigerator. The TV was good-sized and they have Direct TV as well as Wi-Fi, which worked well.

The place is clean, simple, and sweet. Run by a kind family who lives on site. I wasn't expecting much, but the motel had everything I needed for a three-night stay and the bed was comfortable. It also happens to be located across the street from the town's only real grocery store. How convenient!
