Soldier Hollow Nordic Center

Ive been here twice and both times have been great. We even lost my cousins wallet here and recovered it. I went both times on weekdays and this last time from 4-6. It gets crowded ish but you get 8-12 runs in 2 hours which is more than enough to me with about 50 people and 5 out of 6 lanes open with grooming in between. And the staff is helpful and enthusiastic. Ill keep coming back as long as it stays like this. Buy tickets prior to going or you're going to overpay.

I got married in June of 2025 at the new Soldier Hollow Nordic Center ("Sports Discovery Center"). I've been waiting to write this review until after I got my pictures back because I wanted to do this venue justice. It is BREATHTAKING. Super reasonably priced right now because it's still a hidden gem (If I'm not mistaken I think when we booked in the fall of 2024 it had only had 5 weddings there) but once the word gets out they could and should charge double or more. Colleen is the venue coordinator and was so accommodating towards our vision and easy to work with to make your event a success. You have an entire section of the Midway mountainside to yourself and the venue is designed well to take advantage of the incredible views with the massive wrap-around deck, floor-to-ceiling windows

The Good - Lower price point than most Park City-area tubing hills. - Fun during the first few runs. the novelty and views are great at the start The Not-So-Good - Waivers must be completed individually, which slows the check-in process significantly - Snow conditions were slushy and icy, not powdery or smooth and no refunds/discounts are offered for weather or snow quality - Staff repeatedly told riders to "drag their feet" to slow down, which defeats the purpose of tubing.. especially after signing waivers acknowledging the risks - Rules changed constantly, seemingly based on whether it was raining or not, creating confusion - Guests were frequently reprimanded for unclear or shifting rules, which made the exp

New facilities. We went to a wedding and reception there. Outside service was beautiful with the trees changing. The staff was super helpful. We were on the top floor and after dinner they opened the walls and the temps dropped a lot. Very much appreciated as the band had everyone dancing!

I gave 5 stars because overall it was a fun and active outdoor winter activity that’s affordable and enjoyable for all ages. They had a friendly staff and a little cafe with a decent variety of snacks, treats and drinks that won’t break the bank, would go back again.
