Smoky View Inn

Reserved to stay 4 nights. Only stayed 1 because we woke up at 2am seeing bed bugs and were both covered in bites. I confronted her in the morning and she said if their pest control finds living bugs then I could have a refund for the 3 other nights. She was very angry when I showed her a picture and bite. I called and reported them worried she'd lie. Their findings included rodents, insects, ect. in several rooms. They've been warned to do treatment. Would not recommend because of the attitude as well.

Positive: Location Negative: Supposed to have breakfast and a pool but didn?t. Bad stains and foot prints from dirty shoes on the bedding. Bedding had dirt and food crusted on sheets. Cleaning lady said we had to take our trash out the bags to dumpster if we didn?t want charged.

The view of the mountains are great and location is a prime spot if you’re doing things in pigeon ford & gatlinburg. I always check the beds for bed bugs before we get settled in a hotel like this which is cheaper and last minute. I didn’t see any when I looked around the corners and briefly around the sides so we thought we were fine. Later on before we were going to lay down, I had a feeling just to check again and this time I checked more though not just on the corners where they typically hide but the whole bed liner and that’s where I found one. I freaked out and myself and my fiancé immediately moved the two bags we brought in outside which had no clothes in it just waters and our toothbrushes thank god! The rooms are very dirty including sheets. The fan in our bathroom did not work, the outlet was broken with exposed wires, door latched were all broken. Furniture is worn out and needs to been replaced, tv stand, bathroom sink, curtains. Pillows are worn out and flimsy, was not a comfortable stay. Booked three rooms and all of the rooms have a foul order. The room next to ours had a break in and did not get a refund.

Staff was extremely rude and disrespectful when asked for clean bedding and other items. The room was extremely filthy. The floors were so dirty they were black not to mention the dirty shower curtain. Worst we’ve ever stayed in. Being a holiday weekend there wasn’t any other place to go to. The best part of the holiday weekend was getting to spend some time with my husband and the location was ok.
