Smalltown Campsites, LLC

We had a wonderful extended stay at Smalltown Campsites! The campground is nestled perfectly in the mountains. The place is beautiful and peaceful. It is well maintained and easily accessible with full hookups at every site. Dustin and Katie were perfect hosts, responsive if needed but leave you to enjoy your time. The river access leads you to some of the best trout fishing in the state or just a nice peaceful spot to relax and take in the views. The sunrises and sunsets were amazing and we especially enjoyed the milky way views that stretch down the valley. Whether you’re looking for a getaway or passing through, we highly recommend a stay at Smalltown Campsites!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the small but wonderful camp ground. The setting was perfect. We believe the small footprint is what makes it perfect. The campsite doesn’t have the typical amenities that larger, corporate KOA type campsites have but that is why we loved it. It was very peaceful and the scenery is beautiful. We had absolute gorgeous weather as well. It was the perfect place for us to celebrate our 3 year wedding anniversary. It close enough to Seneca Rock to enjoy some hiking but far enough way that we were bothered by tourists…lol. We plan on coming back in the future.

Dustin was very accommodating and we truly enjoyed our stay. Clean place, level sites, full hookups, excellent water pressure with clean smelling water AND wifi. Footpath to the river was nice for walking the dogs. BEAUTIFUL views of the mountain. Franklin is super close for gas and groceries. Sites are large enough to accommodate ANY size RV. Excellent roads nearby to accommodate our motorcycling addiction. No shade, so bring your ez up but that's the ONLY negative we experienced. We didn't need shade in October anyway. We had a wonderful stay at Smalltown Campsites in Franklin, WV. Our hosts, Dustin and Katie, made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The spots are level, clean and long enough to accommodate larger rigs. Our picnic table appeared to be new and was very clean. The surrounding mountain views are beautiful - so peaceful too. We definitely will stay here again. Thank you Dustin and Katie (and baby too) for your hospitality! Ken and Kathy S.

We love it here. Quiet and simple with gorgeous views. Did I mention full hook ups? Our 40 ft jayco fits here just fine. Don’t know if there is a max… I doubt it. Proprietors are very friendly and responsive via email and text. Wifi on-site, cell service is spotty in the whole region, so the wifi is an awesome perk. Walked the dogs to the river and had a blast. Had the place all to ourselves. Dark sky and silence. Six sites now. Owners told me they are planning to expand a little at some point. We will be back. Highly recommended if all the above is your kinda thing.
