We rented the group spot for our family and all of the space we like to have. The other spots were smaller but could accommodate a couple of 4-p tents or one with your car. It was quiet and the water was beautiful!!! It’s a great swim spot BUT you can’t drive down the hill as the land management gets pretty upset if you park down there. The gravel is large, not sure how you’d get a boat down that ramp anyway but it’s still breathtaking. It has pit toilets that were clean and if you bring a water jug, you’ll be in good shape as the spigots are centrally located. No RV’s allowed, just rents but you can sleep in your van/car. We also got lucky enough to watch the fire planes refill their water!!

Pretty nice campground. Some of the spaces are very small and would be nice for one car and a small tent. There are a few larger ones that can hold a few tents. Some are really close to neighbor sites with not much between them so not very private. Some sites are also pushed up against the driveway which would be annoying if a car drove by at night. On the plus side, spaces are way too small for rvs so you don't need to deal with generator noise. It was pretty quiet the whole time we were there on weekdays (only one other group in the whole camp). Water is a pretty long walk and the reservoir is a longer walk. On the map it looks like it's right next to the camp but the camp is up a big hill so there is a cliff (fenced) to look down on the water. Overall pretty nice for access to the reser

Stayed at Site #4. Had 2 flat spots for a tent, a nice picnic table and fire ring. The sites are pretty small, and close together so not much privacy, but we had a great time meeting our neighbors! There is one vault toilet that is pretty full in the campground, it was very clean. There is another double stall vault toilet at the day use area a little ways down the road. The road is also gravel and has a few potholes so keep that in mind if you have a sedan. Another thing to note is if you take site 4 or 6 people will walk through your site to get to the restroom. The day use area is pretty nice and has access to launch a kayak or canoe. Not the best for swimming but still nice.

Had a wonderful trip to Slide Creek campground this weekend. It’s not glamorous at all, but it was perfect for tent camping. The spots are well maintained, private and well kept. The toilets were clean and didn’t stink at all. The camp host, Joseph was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable of the area and enjoyed talking with him. The weather was great, but there were plenty of mosquitos. if you’re looking for a great spot, deep in the wilderness, away from people and surrounded by tons of adventure, this campground is a great choice! Side note, when you get to the Dam, stay right on NF-19 and do not go left to 1993. One route takes you 15 mins to camp and the other is an hour drive through an unmaintained logging road.

Wonderful location! Even though the reservoir was low, the swimming was excellent. Once you got a few feet from shore, the water was crystal clear. Teens loved jumping off the rocks and paddle boarding. Also only about 3 miles away from Terwilliger hot springs, which was a fun activity. No cell service, but that was a plus for us and the teens and tweens played like it was 1990. Cons: besides one at the day use area, there's only one vault toilet for the entire campgrounds. Lots of flies and pretty smelly. There's also only one potable water source, and it's a pump that you have to hike a bit to get to, which makes bringing water back to the campsite a PIA. Sites are definitely on the smaller side.
