Ski Brule

We stayed 2 nights across the road in the condos and enjoyed the hot tub after each day of skiing. Ski Brule has a great Northwoods mom and pop feel that you pick up on in the pro shop, in the bar and on the lifts. So easy to ski there from the parking lot, we had the best time taking advantage of their weekday rates and the excellent patio to relax on after running laps on fast groomers. Very kid friendly and the ski school looked fun for all ages. They have a bunch of cool logo wear and stickers, and a great selection of liquor and beer at the lodge bar, which has an amazing collection of vintage skis mounted overhead, a large crackling stone fireplace and a fish fry meal on Fridays you shouldn't miss. Enjoy this place, its one of a kind.

The pioneer lodge was great, but bring your own garbage bags or ask for them when you check in. Also, it was loud between rooms 105 and 106. Top bunk was very high without a rail. Seemed very unsafe. The staff is amazing especially at the wee ski and the day care. The kids loved going there and they have a variety of activities. The snow conditions were good even though the snow had to be made. Trails are well groomed and taken care of. It was extremely busy on Saturday with 3 bus loads coming in, so t it took forever to get lift tickets and rentals. Go early on a Saturday!

Staff was fantastic. Skiing was good. This is a very family friendly resort with limited expert runs. This is a place to bring your young skiers and let them run wild. Just got done with skiing at 5 resorts in the UP and Ski Brule has the best ski shop and views of the hill.

Had a really great time at Ski Brule this weekend. I'm a newer skier with friends who are intermediates, and we all had a blast. The staff is so friendly and helpful, and they had great tips on everything from boot fit to which blue runs are best for easing into moderate slopes. Definitely plan to grab lunch at the Homestead on the run. I thought the food and drink prices were really reasonable. In a world where so many ski resorts have an awful corporate vibe, Brule stands out as a good-old-fashioned, locally owned ski hill with character. For my fellow big calf-havers: this is the first ski resort I've ever rented boots from that had super adjustable ratchet-strap style boots. I had no idea these existed - I've just suffered miserably in rentals that were so tight my hamstrings couldn'

soooooooooo kid friendly. we've had our girls years ago in the Ski-Wee school and now it's time for the grandkids to do the same. Staff is always thoughtful and helpful for beginners and pros. condos up the hill for rent and pioneer lodge across the street for a few hotel-room-type accomodations. restaurants are both in the lodge and halfway down one of the easy ski-runs both kid friendly. Ski-Wee school and daycare for the little ones help the mom and dad's to at least have half a day to get their kids intro ski while ski on the hills and lifts for themselves. great place to build family memories. we have so many....
