Silver Creek Campground North Carolina

We stayed here Thursday - Monday. This place was clean, comfortable and staffed by friendly helpful people. A lot of the facilities were newer and very clean. Some other comments here reference the "Full Timers" and I'd like to address that. These are not full timers in the sense that most of us know them.. These are folks who lost everything when Helene destroyed it, and are still trying to pick up the pieces of their lives. We stayed in the full timers area, and found it to me pleasant and quiet for the most part. However, I'd highly recommend you reserve on the top of the hill. not near the full timers. I also did not see or had any inkling that there was "drugs" as others have mentioned. What I did experience was good honest hard working folks just trying to get by. I liked this

Me and my family stayed here for 3-months in our camper when we were in the process of buying our house. Staff were very friendly and helpful, other tenants were friendly, and it was so nice having shower houses and laundry on site. My kids loved riding bikes around the property. Two of my kids especially loved the fishing pond that is stocked so they would always catch several fish in an afternoon! The location is also wonderful and quiet. Definitely recommend.

This campground is awesome!! It’s got everything you want in a place you’re going to call home temporarily. The spots up on top of the hill (where we are) are very spacious and have a great view! The bathrooms are always spotless and are temperature controlled so even in the winter it’s nice and warm in there. There’s plenty of space to walk your dog around the grounds for some exercise. Our dog’s favorite spot is right by the pond so we can watch the ducks! There’s a rec room, laundry, play sets for the kids outside and tons of fun outdoor stuff to do like pickleball and basketball as well as frisbee golf! This park is also in a perfect location if you want to check out Chimney Rock or Lake Lure and Asheville is only about 50 mins away. There’s also cool hikes with waterfalls close by!

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Silver Creek Campground in Mill Spring NC is a nice place to stay and easy to enjoy. Only a 20 minute drive to attractions such as Chimney Rock village and Lake Lure. The access and roads to the campground are very easy for all sizes of rigs. The fishing pond is a great feature and a peaceful spot to spend some time. The swimming pool has been updated and is clean and refreshing, especially on warmer days. The sites feel private and well laid out, which makes the campground feel comfortable and not crowded. Having a basketball court and a pickleball court is a fun bonus and gives everyone something extra to do. Brittany, the camp manager, is a pleasure to work with. My mom lived at this RV park for the last two years of her life, and she truly loved it there. It was her home, and the kindness she was shown meant more to her than I can properly express. When she passed away, the staff and management were incredibly compassionate and understanding during one of the hardest moments our family has ever faced. They treated us with patience, dignity, and genuine care, which made an overwhelming situation feel a little more manageable.
