Sierra Mountain Inn

Positive: It was quaint, cute and very clean! Love the free parking, free wifi, microwave, small fridge, coffeemaker & hair dryer. Grounds are beautiful & its walking distance to downtown Negative: the room is very small but was ok for us. Our room was close to a fairly busy road so the noise kept me awake; I closed the window 2nd nite & was better but had to keep the fan on all night

This was a wonderful place and very close to downtown. Luke was very friendly and informative about the area. My cottage felt very homey! Definite recommend to stay here if you are in Grass Valley visiting.

First of all I need to preface the fact that I am the president of a large travel agency in Las Vegas and was exploring Grass Valley since I was writing an article about the area for a large travel publication which appears in both print & online forms. I confirmed my room on a travel agent website, but no discount for being one was offered nor did I ask for one wanting to give my honest opinion & informed them as much. I had requested an early check in since my flight was mid morning & said that I'd probably arrive about noon after picking up my rental car. When I arrived at 11:00am I was told that my room was not yet cleaned & I would be an hour so at noon & they would text me which was a total lie! I told the front desk clerk I would go grab a bite to eat. I wanted to freshen up before

I stayed one night at Sierra Mountain Inn on a trip from Oregon to Yosemite (Sept 2025). This quaint Inn had a feeling of real quality, meticulously clean, and very quiet at night. Out of about 5 or 6 lodges and Inns I stayed during my trip, I slept the best at this Inn. It was also the only Inn where I left a tip for housekeeping. Parking was a little tight for my F-150 truck, but I managed okay. 5 stars for this great place to stay.

Place is comfortable and clean. Owner is super cool and kind! Staff is also hella polite and cool.
