Sibi Beach Hotel

Extremely thin walls, you can talk to other rooms without any effort! If you want to sleep, just punch the wall couple times and your neighbor will understand your request. Overall I'm satisfied. Except those wall features.

We had a studio room, which had a comfy bed, nice bathroom, and a desk chair, couple bedtables. not much else. But we really didn't need anything else(except maybe a warmer blanket, as our room was a bit chilly!)||The location can't be beat! It was a 2 block/5 minute walk to the beach, and lots and lots of restaurants and bars. Nearby Walgreens. Nearby fishing trips. Nearby everything! ||The price was fantastic compared to all the expensive beach hotels, and such a small place made for no noise and easy to get to the room. ||The pool is nice. There were chairs and umbrellas available for beach use. ||I was skeptical as lots of reviews said their rooms were overbooked, and I contacted the hotel a couple of times, but still didn't get my room info until a few hours before I arrived. Stayed here for 2 nights after we disembarked from The Atlantis cruise. There was 6 of us and I had reserved 3 one bedroom apartments. Just before our arrival, I had an email stating that my card used for booking failed to be charged due to me previously changing the card used to make bookings. The email stated that I had 12hrs in which to make a payment to reserve the booking. I made the payment, and we arrived at the hotel. Upon arrival I was told by the off site manager ( there are no staff on site ) that one of the apartments I had booked ,had now been taken, as my original payment had failed to go through, this was despite me making the payment all most immediately after being informed it had failed. The manager offers me a studio, which I had no other choice but to accept. The studio

They canceled our stay for no obvious reason. ( some vague reason about a creditcard that was expired, when we should pay at the hotel) I asked them 3 times via mail to hold the rooms but they just canceled. No communication what so ever. So when we landed after a intercontinental flight with a delay we were left without a hotel in the middle off the night. Very unproffesional. It seems to be a normal practice here...probably resold the rooms for a better price.

I booked this hotel approximately 1 month ago prior to our cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale and received a confirmation number. We made the 4 hour drive from Tampa on the day of check-in only to receive a text message as we were literally 10 minutes away advising the following: "Hello, Unfortunately, we're overbooked and will have to cancel this reservation due to another guest missing their flight and extending". This was on a Saturday with the Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show going on. Needless to say, this created a total mess in us finding other accommodations and then having to pay twice as much on those accommodations last minute. By reading several other recent reviews concerning this same practice by this hotel, it seems like this is a lower class motel with poor management.
