As a J1 and part of the Work and Travel program I understand that we get the cheapest of the cheapest but at least I expect to be respected as a person and that the housing provides basic accommodations. Unit 302 is not ok for anyone. 4 out of the 5 areas designated to be dorms are 5 ft or less. The ventilation in the room I stayed in (which is just over 4 feet tall) is located halfway up the wall, so it blows directly onto the beds. After I complained about it, they just put a piece of cardboard to cover it. The bedspread I was given was cut (as if it had originally been for a queen bed and was adapted for a twin) and had what looked like cigarette burns. Just stayed for one night before heading over Pearl Pass into Aspen. Rooms were cleaner than most cheaper hotels I’ve stayed at. Dog allowed for 10$ per dog, great location off the main highway, older hotel but worth a stay if you need a place.

I have stayed there 5 years in a row during elk hunting season. I miss the old owner Ed. It's clean when you check in, but I stayed 9 days and they cleaned the room only on the 8th day. I talked to the owner and he gave the usual covid excuse. But that won't cut it. The one housekeeper they have is nice, and she did a good job when scheduled, but she is clearly overworked. Hire someone, or clean the rooms every 3-4 days yourself. ||Wifi weak. ||It's ok and cheap. but there is a reason it's cheap. Thin staff, bad wifi, old rooms.

Needed a low cost place to sleep while waiting for my Flight - the personal attention and service were more than I expected

The room was NOT clean. It smelled like cat, and the price was $189. Stay here only if it is your last resort, and do not make a reservation prior. The owner/manager did a bait-and-switch. He knew I had a service animal, but after check-in, he suddenly did not have a queen double room for me. He tried to put me in a wing where he also puts long-term down-on-their luck residents. I had to pay a $165 cancellation fee after viewing the cat-room and deciding I couldn't sleep there. Also, the complimentary breakfast room that you see in the photos doubles as the check-in area. You can see a bit of the check-in counter on the right of the photo. The space was tiny, with no room for more than one family to use the breakfast amenity.
