Sheraton Myrtle Beach

Service: Mike Vajdik at the front counter was so friendly, helpful, and generally pleasant to talk to. Melina in the club lounge was also super friendly and engaging. Both of them made my stay notably better. Rooms were fine, convention center is pretty old and could use a facelift. Easy quick ride from the airport.

We stayed here for an event hosted at the convention center attached, it was very nice but we booked a room with a king size bed and received a room with two full size instead. I also was not happy with the lighting available in the bathroom (or anywhere in the room) so if you have to do your makeup, plan on using your phone flashlight for light. Other than that, it was clean and nice!

For the price, it is an excellent option. As an elite member of Marriott, first choice is always one of this company’s hotels. I always stay at the Grand Dunes Marriott, but recently my satisfaction wasn’t optimum especially paying high price for amenities I do not use… so Sheraton was a first try as a replacement, and I regret my switch, especially while on my business trips. |Location is good, not right by the ocean though. |Parking available for a fee ($10 per night)|Room is very clean, nice size, and updated. |Although, the mattresses are of excellent quality and newish…still felt little bit hard, it definitely could compromise the sleep quality. Positive: clean and safe place Negative: expecting the location on the beach or atleast walkable distance but its far, need car to reach at boardwalk / beach. Also ocean view was not that as expected since hotel is arpund 1.5 mile away from beach.

There is a fridge in the room, charging ports are easily accessible on the nightstand (you don’t have to go through Narnia to find an outlet), the room I stayed in had working, cold adjustable air (some hotels are hot with no air flow) and the tv is a smart tv. I didn’t check each floor but floor 4 & 10 have an ice machine, microwave and purified water dispenser. The associate in the lobby said there’s a microwave on all even floors. If you travel a lot, amenities like these makes or breaks a stay
