Sheraton Hartford South Hotel

Recent bride here, if this came up as a recommended place to have a room or stay (for any reason) save yourself the time and energy! I had gotten a room block this past October and it was an absolute nightmare when it came time for accommodations for the wedding. If you’re looking for overbooked rooms, rude employees, “extra charges” and overall embarrassment- this is your go to place! To start, our suite was not available to check in on time. Our original booked room was given to another guest.. Not surprised as there were also many other events going on that weekend that when it came time for guests to check in, we were told they were overbooked but it “almost never happens”. Guests were downgraded previously booked rooms based on availability, and OTHER HOTEL GUESTS SWIPED INTO THEIR RO

Positive: The staff is amazing. Very accommodating and cordial. Super nice and presentable. Everyone was amazing. Negative: i hated the room a lot. It felt outdated and there was damage to a lot of the fixtures like nicks and chips on surfaces. The bathroom felt very yucky. Coffee in the moring was hard to get though, you needed to ask the associate at the desk.

We've been with no heat or hot water in our room for almost 3 days while they're all cozy and warm at the front desk. People at the front desk are rude and mean. The rooms are very outdated for the money you pay and dirty. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! NOT WORTH A PENNY!

This place felt more like a 1-star motel than a 3-star hotel. Ugly, outdated room. Lazy housekeepers keep on dirty sheets from previous guests. My bed sheets had a blood stain on it. Carpets were filthy and black. Desk chair was full of hair. Noisy guests day and night. Rude front desk personnels. It snowed and hours later, the parking lot and sidewalks wasn't properly cleaned with salt put on the ground. Very poor layout of a parking lot btw. I would expect better for almost $200 per night. Only good thing is this hotel is close to the I-91. Never again.

I stayed at the hotel while volunteering for the Travelers Championship. Hotel is fine, but it is old, somewhat tired, needs updating and refurbishment. The A/C and ed in the room were fine. I had access to the Club Level, which had snacks-soda, water, juice coffee and also breakfast and light dinner options. the breakfast was fair-there was fruit, granola which seemed stale, there were also blueberries, pineapple, cantalope, and melon, etc. There were packages of oatmeal, which you used hot water to make oatmeal. The Club Level Room is old, dated, seems worn, also fairly small. Looking out the back window of the room you see a parking lot, the outside railings are rusted. It just needs some updating and basic maintenance. The rest of the hotel is OK, but again, dated and in need of an upd
