Residence Inn by Marriott Hartford Rocky Hill

So a long story short I had go back and forth to #Connecticut for 5 weeks straight and stay for several days each week. I checked all of the hotels near #newbritain and found that this #residenceinn in #rockyhill would be the cleanest choice. I don’t typically stay in places like this but I didn’t like the other options. I’m glad I picked this. From start to finish the hospitality from the FD to the GM were 2nd to none. Everyone was amazing to us! Even the cleaning crew were super friendly and not annoying. What took me by surprise was the GM. I’ve met many in my travels but Jon was second to none. This review is based solely on my own documented experiences during two separate stays at this Residence Inn location.|During my first stay two years ago, my emotional support cat was locked inside my room by staff after I was late on a payment. When I attempted to return to the room, I was told I could not enter until the payment was made. This situation was handled by the housekeeping supervisor and the manager on duty. Regardless of the policy, having my pet kept inside the room without access to me was extremely distressing and unsafe.|I returned to the property for a second long term stay, and unfortunately my experience was even more concerning. The staff at this hotel is amazing! Everyone was friendly and attentive to my needs. I felt very welcomed and pampered. The room was immaculate and very comfortable. It was so nice to be able to cook a hot meal in my room then relax by the gas fireplace. My 2 small dogs were welcome too--never felt they were an inconvenience and it did not cost a fortune to bring them. Took advantage of the indoor pool and hot tub. The complimentary breakfast was excellent!

So much to say about this hotel. My experience was a bit different as I stayed here for 1.5 months on business. *Front desk staff* 6/10 (negative points for the older white lady) There is an older white lady that is absolutely miserable. Horrible attitude every time. Just flat out an unpleasant person. Should not be in hospitality. Assistant Manager Constine (might have spelled his name wrong) very helpful and good customer service. White guy with glasses - extremely helpful, great customer service, very pleasant Shorter lady that works nights - very helpful and pleasant Everyone else I interacted with at the front desk was fairly good as well. *housekeeping* 3/10 Came to the room maybe once a week even after multiple requests for daily service. This place could be perfect if better managed. The rooms are not cleaned daily even when they say you can request and it will be done it's not. The smell of Marijuana being smoked is everywhere. I dont belive it's just the guest. I stayed her twice on different months a few weeks apart. I saw some of the same people smoking on each visit. Unfortunately I will not return.
