Sheppard Inn

No way to control heat or cold. Depending on season regardless of outside temp you might only have AC or only have heat. Currently 85°+ and we only have the option for heat. Currently my room is so hot it’s almost impossible to sleep at night. The “breakfast” they offer is horrible. Do not budget in free breakfast if you go TDY here. Okay rooms are updated and fairly large they took two dorm rooms and combined into one room. Bathroom is the way to get each side which we welcomed considering what older reviews had said. If you are on the 3rd floor the rooms get extremely hot during the summer/winter change over so be ready to buy an AC unit if you stay here. At the end of the day just stay off base if you can. $99 a night for ZERO anything is pretty horrible when comparing to off base hotel

The manager and front desk staff were superb. On each shift, the customer service was tremendous. All of the ladies at the desk were very hospitable and helpful, even allowing me to extend my stay for a day with short notice. My suite (Stetson Suite) was one of the best that I have ever stayed in on any military base. My housekeeper, I think that her name was Torina, was top-notch, keeping my suite super clean. Great location, walkable to the gym and to the running track.

they went in to my room with the do not disturb on the door. also the place is infested with SKUNKS. I was forced to leave my windows open due to their ridiculous policy that I don't believe they actually have to follow being a hotel. I've not allowing you to use your air conditioning. out of nowhere, it began to wreak of skunks. i haven't been able to get it out of my room since. airing it out helps a little, but it eventually comes back so strongly that I am unable to sleep more than two hours. save your money instead, hotel off base if at all possible

If I could visit zero stars, I would. is place charges double with the best western does we're a comfort inn, however they treat you like second class citizens. they won't turn on the A/C unless it's over 75 for 5 days in a row all while the A/C is pumping in the main building. over and over again been 85 for 4 days and the 74 the last. they call in base wide policy but if it really was policy they wouldn't have it running in the main building? they know our unit has to put us there even though it's literally double than hotels which are twice as good. you should be ashamed of this place.

If your unit tries to send you here, refuse. The rooms are hot as hell and it will be 85 degrees outside and the heat is on. You will have to sleep with the doors open, hopefully the E6 doesn’t hop in the bed with you while you’re sleeping. The shuttles don’t run on the weekends anymore. And that one Lord of the Rings driver is rube and creepy. 0/10 wouldn’t recommend unless you like sleeping in the great outdoors laying in a pool of your own sweat. Also hope you don’t bring Sheppard Inn roaches home with you. At $99/night it’s a scam, idk how these units justify paying for this crap.
