Baseview Landing - A Boutique Apartmotel

Baseview Landing was recommended to me by a friend who had stayed there during training at Sheppard AFB. Having previously stayed on base during another initial skills course years ago, I was dead set on avoiding that experience again. I couldn't be happier with my choice! The management team was amazing and communication was smooth and efficient. The location was excellent. Being situated from both gates meant I was 10 minutes or less from my classroom, the gym, outdoor track, and BX. Off-base I was minutes away from downtown Wichita Falls, a few restaurants, Walmart, and even Sams Club (a little farther maybe 15 minutes). This place was a great stay for my TDY! Had a one-bedroom apt within lodging rates for the area to myself for a whole 2 months, which made the experience more comfortable. The owners are professional, the cleaning service was great when needed (you schedule it, so it’s convenient for your needs), and all the amenities were there. They even sent me a package with the things I accidentally behind directly to my current home! The only thing I’d be aware of is your distance to a lot of the typical “communal” areas for your classmates (DFAC, gyms, etc.), so you will need a rental car. Great place to stay, would definitely recommend. Thank you to the management team for their hospitality.

Excellent owner, maintenance, neighbors, location & ample parking- all one level brick! Half mile from Sheppard gate ( great soldiers at gate) & best artisan coffee 1 mile at White Buffalo. Inside- clean! smells good, a lot of natural light, excellent tv & service, fully stocked, full kitchen utensils, full size appliances, great modern bath with ample counter topping, comfy beds, complete linens. Laundry by key code right across the parking, full size, multiple units - free! We were here 3 months; training complete but we did not want to leave.

Outstanding property with incredible service. The home was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. I stayed here for training at Sheppard AFB, and it was the perfect TDY lodging—quiet, well-maintained, and truly a home away from home. The full kitchen and laundry made the stay extremely convenient. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

This is a great place to stay with your family if you’re in tech school at Sheppard. It’s about a 20–25 minute walk from the dorms, which can feel a little long sometimes, but honestly it’s a pretty nice walk. The place itself is really nice and cozy and feels comfortable to come home to. The laundry facilities are also solid and easy to use, which makes things a lot more convenient.
