Shepherd Mountain Inn & Suites

My husband and I and our dog spent the night in room 44. This is not a palace but the room was spotless and the staff were the best! In the evening when my husband showered, he noticed the tub was not draining properly. We called the front desk and they immediately sent someone to check it out. Unfortunately, the gentleman couldn’t resolve the issue but said he would address it in the morning. I asked if we could get a reduced rate since I also wanted to shower… The next morning when we checked out they wanted to refund our room by 50%. I said that was too much do they gave us $50 back. Wow! Thank you. Overall this place was a gem. The room had everything we needed and the bed was very comfortable. |We ate dinner at the BBQ restaurant out front and it was very good. I stayed for 2 nights. It was clean and quiet with a good hot breakfast and easy access to state parks. The kitchenette worked for our needs. I think the management provided decent value for a very reasonable room rate.

Only.\nStayed one night. Was an older place has been kept up very well.The room was great. Staff were very friendly and there's a barbecue. restaurant at the front of the hotel. Not a great value, though. The rooms were on the expensive side 150 for the night. It was quiet and clean though!!!

I called about this location ( looks VERY RUN DOWN AND ALWAYS EMPTY PARKING LOT) to see if the offered extended stays at their location. The woman that answered the phone was extremely rude and said no. “ Our rooms are $150 a night!” I was taken aback by her tone and manner. I thanked her and promptly hung up the phone. I’m EXTREMELY surprised that hotel is even open with customer service such as that. No thank you. I’ll keep my BONVOY rewards;)

I stayed here in part because of the great reviews and high rating and it didn't disappoint. It's an older-style roadside motel but we checked in smoothly, and the rooms were very clean and well furnished. The hot breakfast was great. I also recommend checking out the BBQ restaurant next door - it's quite good.
