Shepherd Family Cabins and RV Campground - Caprock Canyons

We briefly checked out this RV park on a previous camping trip to Caprock Canyon State Park. When we weren’t able to get a site in the state park for this week, we booked a site here. I honestly expected it to be a basic, mediocre park, but it’s been so much more! Our site is spacious and level. We have a nice patio and picnic table. Plus, there’s a very nice common area with a fire pit, seating and games like volleyball, tether ball, horseshoes, washers. There’s a screened porch with some additional seating and games. The cabins have gas grills. We have our grandsons with us and they have thoroughly enjoyed the games. It’s a short, two miles to the state park entrance. It’s only a few miles to a gas station and restaurant. We’ll definitely stay again. Update: The owner checked on us

We stayed at an Airbnb on this property. The Airbnb was perfect for what we needed. It was a great location which was close to Caprock Canyon.

Super RV, 5th Wheel, Travel Trailer, and Cabin "campground" just a few minutes from Caprock Canyons State Park. Roads to the campground are all good, open, Texas roads. Our 38ft Class with a tow car had zero problems. Gas/Fuel available in all the towns. Sites were nicely spaced. While pull through, we have to unhook the car to line up hookups well for our Class A. Owners were delightful and had lots of suggestions for places to visit all over the USA. We'll be back!

Absolutely loved staying here. Folks running the place were super friendly and accommodating. We went into the state park a few times and couldn't believe what a circus the camping looked like in there! Such a cool park to visit, but folks were crammed in like sardines. Skip the crowds and stay here instead! 3min drive to the park, closer to town, quiet, friendly, full hookups, fun common area for the kids to play... Winning in every category. Thank you!

Charming, rustic small rv park and/or cabins campground in Quitaque, Texas. Great location for visiting Capricorn Canyon State Park. Very clean and quiet and reasonable rates. Highly recommend.
