Shawnee Hills Hideaway

The accommodations were perfect. Tucked away enough to enjoy the quiet, country scenery, while being close enough to all the attractions Giant City and wine country have to offer. The home itself was wonderful. Well-equipped kitchen and bathrooms, comfortable bed and pullout, balcony and walkout to take in the wooded area behind the home. A cozy stay in a cozy place. But the honestly best part was our interaction with Brandy. Incredibly kind, responsive, and accommodating. One of the top hosts whose properties we’ve ever had to pleasure of staying at. My wife and I cannot recommend this entire stay enough.

Perfect getaway! The location is ideal - centrally located near the wine trail and close to Giant City State Park. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the fully equipped kitchen had everything we needed. The outdoor decks were absolutely stunning, and the gas fireplace made evenings so cozy. This place truly delivers on helping you disconnect and recharge. The peaceful setting combined with easy access to hiking, wine tasting, and local attractions made it the perfect balance. The property exceeded our expectations in every way. Already planning our next visit - highly recommend for anyone wanting a relaxing escape in beautiful Southern Illinois!

What an amazing place! Just minutes away from Giant City and world class wineries, the cabin was stocked with everything I needed. I really loved the double level back porch as it was an awesome spot to start and finish the day. Highly recommended!

We love this spot, we felt safe and sound staying here. It was very nice on the inside with great bathrooms and open space. It Left is feeling comfortable, I slept better here than I ever have in any hotel. The host is also fantastic 10/10
