Sequoia Lodge

An absolute wonderful stay. The owners are lovely and kind. We will definitely be returning for another stay in the future. We were able to make home cooked meals the entire stay because the room had a kitchenette and they had a propane grill in the common area. The view from our room was absolutely beautiful and there is a path you can go down that takes you right to the river.

Great little lodge to stay when in the Kernville area. I was there to fish the Kern river for a few days and the area did not disappoint. The lodge is right along the river; all you have to do is grab your gear and walk down a few steps to the river bank. My room was very clean and decorated with fishing decor (nice touch for fishermen!). There is a fish cleaning station on the property. Jeremiah who oversees the place was very friendly and helpful. The small general store/cafe was convenient to have right across the street. Great spot to stay if you want to fish up and down the upper Kern from Lake Isabella to the Johnsondale bridge (the "20 mile stretch" of the Kern). Lovely position by the Kern River just north of Kernville. Super location for peace, beautiful views and good walking. Room well kept and very clean. We had a warm and friendly welcome at reception plus helpful advice about the best route to get to Sequoia National Park when we left. Very pleased with our choice!

Really a nice quiet little fishing lodge on the zKerm river above Kernville. Be sure to go to Kern River Brewery for food and local beer. Both spots top notch. Clean n quiet lodging.
