Senator Inn & Spa

Upon my arrival, I was informed that the swimming pool and hot tub were closed for maintenance. This was quite disappointing, as these amenities were a primary reason for my choosing your spa. During my stay in my room, I encountered several issues. The fireplace, which I had looked forward to using, would ignite only briefly before extinguishing and failing to relight. Furthermore, the room's temperature control was inadequate, leading to discomfort due to either excessive heat or cold, exacerbated by drafty windows. Regrettably, the tranquility of my stay was significantly impacted by noise from the adjacent room. The thin walls allowed for considerable disturbance from small children running in the hallway and their voices, which persisted late into the evening and early in the morning.

Came here for a girls overnight with my Mom and was pleased with all the Senator has to offer. The hot tub was great, and both the sauna and steam room were large and so relaxing!! Im not sure if it’s an Egyptian or italian theme but the locker room and aesthetics are cute and add to the relaxation. Comfy bed and staff was very pleasant! We will be back to try the Cloud 9 restaurant! Also if you’re looking for live music, liberal cup in Hallowell is super cozy. We’ll be back to the Senator soon xo

Immediately upon approaching the front desk it was clear the receptionist was having a rough day and we were about to understand why. ||We checked in and the lobby of the hotel smelled like an old house that had been smoked in for decades. I brushed it off because many of these buildings are older and sometimes the air is stale. However upon entering our room it smelled like someone had just smoked a fresh pack. No shade to anyone who smokes, you do you, but it was so bad in the room our eyes and noses were burning and still are the next morning. |||In addition the room was really dingy. There were stains on the carpet, paint peeling off the mopboards and the bed sloped downward at the headboard. ||I’m in the area for a work conference and it just wasn’t feasible 1) not to get any sleep an

The senator is nice overall. The website stated the pool and hot tub were closed so we didn't bring anything for them, but upon check in we were told the hot tub was available. Couldn't use it because we had no idea it was usable. The heat in the room was extreme and I tried to turn it down but I guess it didn't take. Sleeping in a warm room is uncomfortable. Wanted to get food from the restaurant on site but we had no idea they were only serving a 3 course meal for valentine's and nothing else.

I was there with my brother and sister and Aunt and Uncle. We were there a good 30 minutes and we had to ask for a waitress. My brother, sister, myself and my Aunt all got our meals and almost FINISHED them before my Uncle even got his. I understand if you are short staffed its going around, but send someone over and let us know someone will be with us shortly. We never even saw anyone to TELL them my Uncle didnt get his food Uncle they came to check on us and by then our meals were gone. The food was good, its just too bad the service wasn't
