Seaspray Surf Lodge

We had a great stay at the Sea Spray Surf Lodge. It was a short walking distance to the beautiful public beach. The hotel was quiet and relaxing with all the amenities needed for a great time. We used their extra beach chairs when we went to the beach, they had umbrellas we could’ve borrowed but we chose not to. The best part of our stay was the manager Megan!!! SHE IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!! She took care of us above and beyond. This place is lucky to have her. You might be able to find nicer places but you won’t find the customer service we had with Meg!

Our Vero Beach getaway….we arrived at around 5-5:30 pm to a welcome note as office was closed…not open until 6. We quickly found our room on the second floor. The place was pretty empty, maybe three rooms occupied. We were assigned room 12. I booked this room about 2 months prior to arrival, spoke to the receptionist on the phone and explained we were 3 adults traveling. She assured me that the king suite would fit the 3 of us with king bed and futon. It was never suggested that maybe we should get 2 rooms side by side as the futon was tiny, maybe fit for one child. Upon entering room you walk into the ‘living area/kitchen what felt like 85 degrees! In the bedroom you find a wall air con unit, the only air con unit for the 2 rooms. The manager was wonderful and very helpful, she made the place feel like home. The room I found I actually enjoyed even-though I didn’t want a bottom floor unit (they assign your room so you can’t be picky….ask questions about room floor or other preferences in advance). My few grips would be the flying pan was shot from over use and some of the other items were in ok condition (spatula, utensils). The upper deck was also dirty and all the furniture except the couch and chairs needs to be replaced (grill also needs to be cleaned and kept better). Seemed like the inside was very clean but not so much for the outside. (Which is a shame because the property is nicely laid out) However, over all, I found the room cozy and I was relaxed. This hotel is wonderful! The rooms are simple, but quaint. A home away from home. The bed was so comfortable I had the best sleep. Decorated beautifully and felt like my own apartment. The courtyard was adorable! The rooftop area is serene. The pool is spotless and the staff is so helpful and kind. My husband and I will definitely book here again!

Second visit. Meg the manager is tremendous. Above and beyond. Always available for my crazy requests and situations. Walked the beach this morning. Pool, deck, two blocks to the Atlantic's turquoise waves. What more could you wish for?
