Sea View Hotel

Great place to stay. This hotel was built in 1948, and has been kept in fantastic condition and updated. It still feels classy and doesnt have the sticker shock of the other nearby hotels in Bal Harbour. The chandelier in the lobby is iconic, and the pool area in the back is fantastic. The beach behind the hotel along with the pool deck both have complimentary beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, and tables. Overall 4.5/5, as one of the sheets in my room had a visible stain on them but nothing serious.

We walked into a grand hotel that emerged from decades ago. This property does not have the glitz, gold & glimmer of 21st century hotels. Instead, it is elegant, tasteful and sophisticated. The pool is extra large and the staff friendly. Our only suggestion would be for improved air conditioning in the rooms. The mandatory setting keeps the temperature above 68 degrees with some humidity. Ben, at the front desk, has a constant smile and prepared to assist at the drop of a hat. Kudos to all.

I wish I had checked the reviews first! This place deff is OLD! And it’s expensive. I paid for almost 800$ for a “oceanfront” room. And while it’s technically facing the ocean, it’s on the second floor and you can really just see the pool, I expected to be 5-7 floor for that price. You can tell this is. A very old hotel too Changed rating from 3 to 1 after the pool guy just yelled at me and grabbed at my towels telling me they will provide towels, mad because I grabbed one off a bench. I had seashells wrapped In a towel and he was snatching at it and looming over me. Yelling and demanding answers. Chill out it’s not that serious. I’m from out of state

A hidden gem! Some other reviewers found it dated but I strongly disagree. It’s an elegant and well-maintained landmark hotel. A quiet oasis in Miami Beach. Jennifer and Albano in the coffee shop are magnetic personalities. Warm and sparkling pool. Great history here. Large beachfront section. We can’t wait to return. What to improve? Friendly, helpful information at check in.

I stayed at the Sea View Hotel for two nights in an ocean view room, and unfortunately the experience was disappointing. The hotel feels very old and it is obvious that it is being treated like a cash cow rather than a property anyone is investing in. The people who work there are generally nice, but it is also clear that they are not trained hospitality professionals like you find in most well run hotels. Check in happens behind a full wall of glass and I still cannot figure out why. The process took more than twenty minutes and required an endless amount of signing. Most hotels take your identification and a credit card and you are done in a few minutes.
