Sea Mist "Guest Villa"

Had a sewage/sewer backup into the basement while we were here for a wedding before everyone started getting ready that morning. The Sea Mist did not/would not give us different accommodations to get ready in when all 4 bathrooms were rendered unusable at the Guest Villa. We ended up having to use the HONEYMOON suite that was rented separately for the couple, to get people showered and ready with only one bathroom in a building with only one working elevator. The maintenance people were pretty awesome and on top of clearing the sewer line out. I got the impression that this happens fairly regularly at the guest villa though.... the huge issue was that no one came to clean out the sewage in the 4 downstairs bedrooms and 2 downstairs bathrooms all day. We didn’t even stay!! Check in was 4:00, by 8:00 still no room… we walked around the grounds and to say it looked like the movie slum dog millionaire would be putting it kindly…. The amount of garbage down the hall ways and the smell of the place made us want to vomit!!! It was the most unkempt places I’ve ever seen!! My mother in law had checked in the day before so we saw her room… roaches everywhere! Someone had painted the room with the comforters on and they were covered with paint, the side of the fridge was completely rusted, it was a mess!!! No way the room was touched before she came… This place should be shut down and the health department called!! I pulled my mother in law out and we booked somewhere else…. The plus side was they have gave zero hassle on canceling!

I had to walk to registration 3 times because the key card wouldn't work.got in the room it was nasty the sheets had stains felth I don't think they were ever cleaned are floor was filthy felt like you were on the beach.know trash cans in room or bags.the stove didn't look safe to use.no coffee pot not even paper towels or soap in the kitchen no dishes 1 coffee cup ,1 fork,1 spoon,4 plates,nothing to cook on the stove,had 2 wash clothes and 2 dish towels tried asking house keepers the told me I would half to go to regerstration to get my own towels,wash clothes,toilet paper you half to wait on your self.called 4 times trying to get someone to clan my room then went to the front desk told them to send one to clean my room nobody showed up went to the dollar store bought my own cleaning stuf

I would give it 0 stars if I could, worst stay ever. People were sleeping in the lobby because they couldn't get into their rooms and nobody could tell them when they could. I would like to say we were the lucky ones that could check in, but it was filthy, no hot water the entire stay, dirty silverware tucked inside the furniture, etc. Will never vacation there again or recommend to anyone.

This was the worst vacation ever!! First time I turned water on it was brown. In a couple months I was in Acute Renal Failure from GIARDIA!! Not to mention being woke up at 2am by some man beating the door down. Had to call security 3 times.NASTY!
