I booked my stay two months in advance, but my confirmed reservation was canceled upon arrival. Expedia and the property falsely blamed a “late check-in,” even though I arrived before midnight. During their investigation, the owner repeatedly claimed we arrived late and that he had it on video. When I requested proof, he changed his story and admitted that check-in closes at 11:00 PM. I arrived at 11:25 PM, but there was no front desk or office open. Only two men were outside drinking beer and directed me to a doorbell. After waiting several minutes, I had to knock on the concierge’s door. He barely spoke English and spent nearly 20 minutes trying to reach the manager. This is the only reservation we could find that was less than $200 per night for a family event in Port Orange. Previous reviews gave us insight into what to expect. We are experienced travelers so the rundown conditions were manageable for us. The bed was comfortable. The TV and refrigerator worked great. Nice hot shower. The AC had a touch time keeping up with 100 degree weather. Room didn’t smell smokey but there was plenty going on outside our door. No amenities. Just met our needs for our short stay.

Room was horrible. Roaches and stained shower curtain and towels. Wish I read the reviews. They are all true! Do not stay here unless you have no other option.

If I could give a negative I would. Called needing a last minute room due my brother having a medical emergency and me needing to be out there for the next couple of days. They gave me the room (I used the last of my funds due to the emergency necessitating it), and packed my things. Over 3 hours later, making the drive I get a call from whatever idiot runs the front desk. He told me he no longer had any availability and would be refunding my card, after pressing multiple times he claimed the AC just went out. I told him I would stay in a room with no AC. He just kept talking over me and getting emotional, said he’d talk to the maintenance guy and call me back to see if I could stay in the room. I waited over 20 mins. No call back, so I called him. A woman answered the phone, yelled at me,

First of all, English language is not spoken here. The ceiling fan was literally dripping with tar and nicotine. Just dump an ash tray on your head and get it over with. I was treated like a convict. I am well traveled. Skip this place!
