La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Port Orange / Daytona

Positive: "" Negative: The hot tub is always out of order when we stay there, There needs to be substantial work done to the walls and ceiling area in the pool room. I saw mold on the parts of the walls that were falling apart.

Decent hotel but seems like they cheaped out on some things. Wifi was barely functional, testing out at about 2 Mbps, which is about dial up speed. The hand soap is so watery that the pump shoots it all over the counter. The curved shower rod is offset by a bank of shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the middle of the wall instead of at the front or back of the shower (I am 6’3”, so that space matters). Traffic noise outside was excessive, so seems like they did the minimum effort to insulate against sound. Otherwise, clean room. The lobby smelled like a swimming pool as soon as I walked in the front door though. I didn’t ask but I’m guessing some water leak issue as there are dehumidifiers throughout the hallways.

I still have a few more days here but so far, my stay has been excellent. Every single staff member I've come in contact with has been friendly and helpful. The hotel is older, but it is very clean. My room was well stocked with clean towels and having a refrigerator and microwave has been great. The bed linens are very nice. Cool and comfortable. In addition to all that, their nightly rate is very affordable. I come to Port Orange twice a year. This hotel will be my goto. AAA+++

Location , location location. This LaQuinta checked all the boxes. Was surrounded by shoppes and food options. Next to the highway yet very clean and safe location. The inside was very well kept. My room was clean and quiet . I was a little disappointed when I came back from a day of adventure housekeeping did not come and tidy up the room . Didn't even leave fresh towels maybe that's a new thing. But overall room and hotel was very nice 8 out of 10 for me

This was a great place to stop on our way further south. The room was awesome (a suite), clean and well stocked with linens. The staff, from the front desk to housekeeping was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel was situated right off the interstate, in a nice area with plenty of restaurants nearby. Will definitely keep this place on our list!
