Schroon Lake Motel and Cabins

Thank you Sue for your hospitality! We stayed MLK weekend 2026 and the rooms were large, clean, comfortable AND affordable. There is a lovely pathway to walk down to lake and the fire pit warmed us on very cold nights. Great location close the town of Schroon Lake. We hope to return 😃

We heard good things about the Schroon Lakes Motel and Cabins and needed a place to stay when the motel we had booked a one week stay in, was not clean. The owners Susan and Dan and Susan's brother John made us feel safe and welcome. They wanted to turn our bad experience with the other motel into a GREAT experience with them. Dan was even going to call the other place to get us a refund! Luckily the owner of the other place had already refunded us our stay. Schroon Lakes Motel and Cabins are in the process of renovating the rooms and the property itself. The rooms are very spacious and almost totally renovated. I was passing through Schroon Lake and stopped hoping to find a room. It was very last minute, spontaneous and Susan and Daniel were SO friendly!! I was able to get a room- -clean and wonderful and they evn had a bonifie at night to sit and chat. It is wonderfully located next to the Lake and near restaurants and was just perfect. Thank you Schroom Lake Motel and Cabins! Next time I will book ahead and get a cabin!

Extremely clean and comfortable rooms. The property is on the perfect location with an awesome dock to fish from and stargaze at night. At night the owners have a fire and treat you like family. Not to mention it’s within walking distance to sticks and stone which has amazing food and drinks. I stayed in the motel and it was awesome, I can only imagine how much better it would be in a cabin. Overall a 10/10 stay 100% recommend.

Extremely friendly, clean, and relaxing. I highly recommend this establishment! Schroon Lake in general is a charming little town with several access points to the lake but the Schroon Lake Motel and Cabins was the best location. They have a private dock if you have a kayak or paddle board. Will definitely be back!
