Scenic Resort

Our stay at the scenic resort cabins during both Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends was nothing short of magical! Nestled amidst breathtaking natural beauty, the cabins offered a perfect blend of comfort and rustic charm. Each morning, we woke up to stunning views, and the peaceful surroundings provided a much-needed escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The owner is incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that our experience was seamless and enjoyable. With plenty of outdoor activities and cozy evenings by the fire, we left with cherished memories and a strong desire to return. Highly recommend this hidden gem for anyone looking to unwind in nature!

nice location between Oscoda and tawas, friendly owners, great lake view and private beach. However, our room was outdated and dirty. This was all that was available the weekend that we were planning our trip so we had to deal with it. I wouldn't have any complaints if the price was lower. We did not have enough towels, the beds were not comfortable. We brought our own linens and changed theirs out for ours and even added sheets to the sofa and chair in the living room. We wiped down the dining room table and it looked like my husband polished his shoes with the cloth! it also had a kinda funky smell. I wouldn't be so harsh if it were 60-80/night. We were charged 125, waaaaay too much for the lack of cleanliness.

Stayed 2 weeks and had a good time the veiw is beautiful and the owners are very nice and helpful. And it's dog friendly. We had a good stay!!!!

I think it was truly a very nice, thoughtful and considerate detail to leave a small packet of sauce, not just any sauce! But a packet of -zesty- sauce. Really felt welcoming and courteous to the overall stay to leave a side of zesty sauce in a packet for us as guests. We didnt end up using it, but it was nice knowing it was there and that the host was nice enough to have that as an amenity to the room.

Unfortunately, our stay at this motel in Oscoda was far below expectations. The room was not clean — the bed didn’t even have a fitted sheet, and the mattress underneath had visible stains. It really made us question how thoroughly the rooms are cleaned between guests. The beds are also extremely uncomfortable, you sink directly into the middle of them. The bathroom was in rough shape. There was a hole in the window that had been covered with a paper towel and a Band-Aid, and there was also a hole in the ceiling directly above the toilet, which felt pretty unsafe. This property has potential with the right care and updates, but in its current condition, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
