Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort & Spa

Struggled with this review. The staff was perfectly nice and professional. Can't say a bad thing about them. I liked that they provide a free shuttle to travel 1.5 miles anywhere around the hotel. But it's three stars because I was shocked at the condition of the rooms. Everything was so old...I felt like i was in a room from 2006. No USB ports anywhere except one on an ancient clock on the desk. And it didn't work. The drapes had holes in them, the water pressure came and went, and the hot water struggled to maintain heat. The bathrooms were very basic and barely on par with roadside hotels. I love the JW brand, but given what we paid, I and was really surprised at the condition of the rooms. We were with a group and that just about everyone had the same opinion. If they get it refreshed

First, I will rate my massage, it was exceptional as always, Murial is the absolute best(10/10)! That said, the rest of the experience did not meet expectations (2nd time in last few months). Last time the Steam room wasn’t working, this time the Hot tub in men’s locker room wasn’t working. It would be great if you would notify guests ahead of time so that they can alter plans if wanted. The men’s relaxation room had someone’s towel on n the lounge when I came in and was still there when I was finished with my massage. There were user washcloths in the shower stall as well. Simple adjustments would elevate the experience.

We stayed here recently to celebrate a milestone birthday for our sister who has recently relocated to the area. The location off A1A was excellent — very easy to get to everything — and we enjoyed the spa. The beach cabana sounded very nice as well, but we were informed too late of access to this amenity. However, our stay fell short in several areas: Hotel design: The large open atrium design lets noise travel throughout the building. Sound from the lobby and ground level bar was clearly audible from our room. Service at check-in: The front desk agent did not provide any orientation to the property (resort fee, dining options, Wi-Fi, etc.) We had to ask several questions to understand basic information. Positive: "" Negative: The hotel is not a 4 star hotel. Broken fixtures in the bathroom and needs a renovation. Staff was not knowledgeable or helpful with inquiries.

Checked in Saturday night. Check in was fast and easy. We parked for free at least I thought and was charged $22 for parking. We parked out on car yet still charged I guess for using their parking lot. The sink had hair in it when we got there and the water took forever to go down. Overall the hotel is on a beautiful site but it’s over priced. We paid $561 for one night and we checked in right before midnight. I mean like I understand it’s a golf resort but that was ridiculous. Again the location is beautiful.
