Sauk River Inn & Suites, a Travelodge by Wyndham

My friend recommended the AmericInn, but this was also a Wyndham hotel, had a pool, and was about $50 less, so I went with it. This was not a wise decision. The pool was “under maintenance,” which should have been removed from the website if it isn’t useable at this time. I caught a peek, and there was water in it, but also a bicycle on the pool deck, so I’m not sure what was going on there, but my son didn’t get to swim, which was a very big disappointment. The room was in rough shape. The flooring was very poorly installed (cut jagged and short of the appropriate size), noisy in places where it was “floating” a little too much, with a jagged bump in the bathroom; almost like a screw was under it. don't go here if your intention is to use the pool becouse it has been down for months... found that out when we got there and it was blocked off but they weren't even working on it. they told us it was down for getting repainted for the past couple months but when we were able to see inside the pool was still 3/4 full and there were floaties in it. If your a business that advertise having a pool then fix the pool and open it up or stop advertising you have a pool. And the breakfast was a joke. But the jacuzzi suit was a nice tub.

Positive: I didn’t like this hotel at all. Will never use this hotel ever again Negative: Checked in, stayed 2 hours and then left. There was 21 small children running and screaming for hours. I was hoping they would stop but they just got louder. Then the drunk parents were in the hallway screaming. I want a refund! I want my money back!

I stayed here for a wedding i attended later. Rooms are gross and run down, dust everywhere, hair from previous people left in shower and on top of blow dryer. Under the beds had left over mt.dew bottle and lighter and wrapper from previous guests also a TON of dust and sand under the beds. No idea how long its been since they vacuum or mopped under the beds. Nob to a desk drawer came off when my husband went to open it. The smoke alarm went off at 3am long enough to wake up my family, cop car and 2 fire trucks showed up....it was a false alarm from the hotels faulty system. We also ised the pack n play for our 1 year old to sleep, it was stained all over...very gross. We only stayed 1 night and I will never come back. Location is good since its in Sauk center. We called in advance and asked if the pool/hot was in order, they said yes. We arrived and they coincidently were under construction. It lasted tell after 9 when we were trying to sleep after a long car ride. The ice machine doesn’t work. Our room tv remote doesn’t work for this tv and when we went to the front no one was there. We tried to call the front desk for help and no one picked up. This was the worst experience ever. We will not be booking here again.
