Where to begin? We booked this trip weeks in advance, first for four nights, then revising it to 3 nights due to an early flight home. ||We ran into problems flying from the East Coast to LAX before even arriving at our departing airport. Instead of landing in LA at 5:20pm, we were delayed until 11:30pm. The hotel was messaged that our new arrival time would be in the wee hours of the morning, and they acknowledged.||More delays in picking up our rental car meant an even later arrival at the hotel. A freeway closure that we were stuck in for four hours added even more time. When we arrived at the Marriott, it was 7:30am. We explained what happened and that we were checking in late for our reservation the night before (prepaid). We had traveled 27 hours and needed sleep ASAP. The front desk

Santa Ynez Valley Marriott Sets in a nice location to visit the valley. The exterior and lot are clean but gives off the it is time to refresh or remodel. This carries on in to the inside. The lobby and restaurant area is a nice space. The walls, carpet and most of the flooring look aged and ready to update. Our room was not ready until close to 3pm and as a Lifetime Titanium we were upgraded, however we addressed the critical need for a completely down and feather free room. The first pillow I touched clearly said Water Fowl making in clearly feathers. It was too late to require moving to another room so I eliminated the pillows and covered the areas in Bath towels. This is the reason for the 3 on both rooms and service. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The front desk was quite friendly. The bed is too springy and saggy with little support, maybe overdue for replacement? Very uncomfortable bed. Breakfast was fine. Although the setting was very humble, the quality was very good.

We wanted to visit Solvang while staying in a hotel with a nice pool! The hotel was easy to get to, park, and check in. The staff was helpful and friendly. The pool and hot tub were nice and not too crowded so we were able to get lounge chairs and have space for all 9 of us! The pool was nice and the kids loved it. The hot tub was on the smaller side, so we were able to use it some of the time. The rooms were clean and more spacious than I expected which was nice for me and two teens! For a slowly coming out of a pandemic and shut down situation, I think the hotel did a great job. I understand that it is hard to find employees right now and some services were less than usual (i.e. towels at pool running out, little staff around, no lunch service, etc.). We would stay again when

Just an okay experience.. we got there at 315pm Sunday and weren't able to check in, since our room wasn't ready, so we had a drink downstairs while we waited (They seem to be shorter staffed for housekeeping). We got a room around 530ish. Got up there and hadn't even started unloading the cart yet since we were so tired, and then suddenly our room door opens and another couple got told the same room number and also had keys. It was really awkward and a first I've ever experienced 😅 Felt bad for the other couple even though it wasn't our fault obviously. They had been waiting since 2pm and it was their anniversary weekend trip. The front desk offered to move us rooms, but we ended up staying there afterall since we needed the private bedroom. And pull out couch rather than 2 Queen beds in
