As the Director of Advertising for Target Walleye, I have been to a LOT of resorts and lakes but Sandy Beach ranks at the top of that list! I host a group of guys each fall for a fishing trip, and after coming to Sandy Beach on Gull last year, I doubt we’ll ever look anywhere else! The accommodations are fantastic, the cabins and resort are spotless, and the staff is incredibly friendly. On top of that, the walleye fishing is truly world class! Sandy Beach is a hidden gem, tucked right in the middle of several golf resorts, making it the perfect destination. The owner, Shane, goes above and beyond—whether it’s pointing us toward the bite or connecting us with an excellent guide. Absolutely love this place!!

Cabins have not been updated in 50 years, horrible service, only reason we come is nostalgia. Moving on next year. Only come to sandy beach if it’s sold to another family. Family friend’s AC unit has been out all week, and their mattress sheets came with dried blood on them. Awful awful resort.

What a beautiful spot on Gull lake! Great accommodations, friendly staff and owners. Very knowledgeable about fishing conditions and the staff could not be more friendly. A wonderful place to bring your family. Shane put us on the fish and we got two big walleyes on at the same time! Would give 10 stars if they would let me!

We’ve stayed at this resort multiple times and have always had a wonderful experience. Very nice cabins on the water and several of them have been newly remodeled. Shane and his family do a great job with everything and they have a boat ramp. 5-stars!!!

Shane runs a top notch program at Sandy Beach Resort! The cabins are great! The scenery is beautiful! Fishing was fantastic! I look forward to coming back every year. Highly recommend!!
