Grand View Lodge Spa and Golf Resort

The hospitality was fantastic. Drea at the front desk was especially kind and very helpful in making sure our stay was exceptional. We loved the rustic lodge and the smell of pine bonfires. Our kids loved the pools and the ice fishing derby. Our winter get away was magical!

My husband and I have been going to Grandview Lodge in Brainerd, MN for the past 25 years and have always enjoyed it. Well, that came to a halt after our last stay. The rooms, while being updated, are pretty tacky as well as the walls being paper thin. I thought we had people in our room one morning, but as it turns out, it was the cleaning crew cleaning the room next door. It was that loud!!! The biggest concern however, was at checkout when I had a concern and literally, wanted Chris, the Front Desk Manger, to just acknowledge my concern. He was completely dismissive of my concern, of me and the fact that we had just spent money at the spa, Northwoods Pub, etc. He was all about principal and that I was wrong, and he was right. We enjoy going to Grandview a few times a year for long weekends, typically we go in the off season to get a change of scenery! The accommodations have always met our expectations, we’ve stayed in the one room cabins by the lake, townhouses by the golf course and Roy cabins. There are always nice configurations that work well with kids and families, even the accommodations that feel more dated have all of the necessary offerings you’d need or expect in a mid-level hotel! The reason we continue to come back is really the lakeside pool with the zero entry. It’s a great pool option for little kids with the walk in area and small slide, it keeps our two little kids occupied and we love the offerings on site that make it a very easy and low key getaway for our family (pools, hot tub, playgroun

We visited GVL Jan 7-11. We had 6 adults and 1 toddler. This trip was a Christmas gift for my children (and Spouses) and our grand child. We arrived at GVL Jan 7. 2026, it was beautiful in the newly white snow and lights. We stayed in a wonderful 3 bedroom home on Nokomis. ||It was very spacious and clean home. Bedrooms were large and each had a bathroom. The kitchen was nice size and really had everything a person would need. I would have to say I would bring my own dish soap (Dawn) and more rags or sponge. The soap they provide is a cheap off brand and does nothing at all to clean dishes.
