San-Ran Motel

Very relaxing atmosphere close to sooo many attractions. Rooms are “cozy” if you want fancy this is not for you. Very hospitable owner, kind and laid back. Thank you Randell.

Great place! Have stayed at San Ran at on at least 4 separate trips. The owners are friendly. Plenty of parking. Room for your bike trailer if you want to leave it here as a base camp and ride the hills and the dragon for several days. The place has a dated appearance like classic 70s or 80s but it's just a classif motel lodge . family owned and friendly. clean rooms with d two beds and a kitchenette and bathroom in each room. What can I say... it's better than the overpriced chain hotels and safer to leave your trailer /truck while riding the dragon... Cheers

The location was fantastic for our needs. The rooms were simple and adequate for our needs. They are admittedly dated but very clean. The owner was the staff. He has and shares a wealth of area knowledge. His recommendations for restaurants was spot on! Randal was easy to talk with and we enjoyed visiting with him. The motel reminded me of days gone when my family traveled and stayed in these motels. Thanks for the nalstagistic trip to the past!

I’ve stayed at San Ran several times over the years. It’s absolutely no frills but it’s convenient to lots of good motorcycle riding, and I like to support local and privately owned businesses. For this last stay I booked 3 nights in advance. Near the end of first day the rain forecast showed heavy rains for next few days. I decided it was best to get moving on to my next destination. San Ran would not cancel my next two nights; I had to pay. The hotel, I’m sure, did not have to turn away customers because I reserved the room those extra 2 nights. No, they decided it was ok to irritate a repeat customer and pocket ~$225 for a service they did not render. This is big hotel chain kind of nonsense. The probability that I return here in the future is very slim indeed.

Great base for riding the Tail of the Dragon, Cherhola Skyway & many other scenic motorcycle roads. We stayed 2 nights. Mom & Pop owners (Randy & Ann) were very hospitable & motorcycle friendly. Gas across the street, grocery store w deli within 1 block. Rooms are dated but very clean and had fridge & microwave. Price budget friendly and room was perfect for our needs.
