Appalachian Inn

We stayed 3 nights for my wife's Birthday. All of the reviews are correct as you will not find a better Bed and Breakfast anywhere. Elizabeth built this Inn 20 years ago and has maintained the like new conditions. Your room will be everything you need and the Great room is a nice place to just relax and unwind. The views of the valley are stunning and you'll probably even get a visit from several Hummingbirds. You will not be disappointed!!!

My hiking friends and I booked all 5 rooms for a 2-night stay while hiking sections of the AT from nearby Stecoah Gap. The home is very clean and beautifully decorated inside and out. Elizabeth was very accommodating by having our breakfast ready at 7 a.m. so we could get an early start on our hikes. We made prior arrangements for her to serve us dinner one of the nights, and again the meal was served precisely at the time we asked. All the food was delicious. The beds were comfy. Many sitting areas, inside and out, to relax. There are 2 mini-fridges stocked with complimentary sodas and water. Lovely place to stay. We plan to return!

I stayed two nights bookending a hike. Elizabeth was warm, welcoming and is a fantastic cook! The room was well appointed, clean and generous in size. The bathroom was spotless and the step in shower, large and with great water flow. The public spaces are very comfortable and offer a great view of the valley. If you are in the area---this is the place to stay!

Stay here! Look no further! Our bed was super comfy, the room much larger than average, the views amazing, setting was perfect, hostess was amazing!! The wrap around porch is killer as are the views!! The Parking is blacktopped so your luggage won’t get dirty. The fireplace looks amazing and located perfectly to enjoy it plus the view!!

This place is amazing!! Great views, very clean, food is delicious, etc. Innkeeper Elizabeth is great and very accommodating!! We ordered a private dinner which was so good, sat out on the covered deck and enjoyed the views in the afternoon! Highly recommend this place and we will be returning!
