Salida Hot Springs Aquatic Center

Definitely the town kids pool. I'll preface by saying the front desk set our expectations that we shouldn't expect a hot spring experience, which we knew as we didn't want to pay the price for the hot springs and weren't planning on staying long, we just wanted a warm soak after a cold day. I read that they used to do 10 minute breaks at the top of the hour but they didn't seem to do this, I watched 6pm pass and then 20 or so minutes later they had to get us all out of the hot pool because some kid pooped. While I didn't have high expectations, $17 per person is pretty steep for a kid to poop in the pool. Next time we'll just double the price for hopefully no kid to poop.

A great community resource. I came hoping for a hotter soak, but if you stay in the leisure pool long enough you get comfortable. Participated in a mid-day water exercise class with a lot of the retirees and chatted about their worldly adventures. They have private soaking pools that can get hotter by reservation, if you're really looking for that hot bath experience.

Big pool, Includes: Hot pool (Abt. hot tub temp), Cold pool, Rock wall, Diving board, Slide (very fun), 2 Lap lanes, Beach balls/Floaties (You can bring your own) Showers (Free with entry), Ice cream, Friendly staff, Funny open sign, Pleasing building design, Water depth ranging from <1 inch to very deep. Facility is clean (Slight white residue in some places because of hot spring minerals)

This place was a lot of fun! The hot spring pool in the back was hot enough to be very relaxing and at the deepest of 4ft it was deep enough to have fun with the kids. Having the cooler, larger pool with a starting depth of 4ft and going all the way to 10ft, was a great alternative. Extra options were a pvc volleyball net and beach ball for an impromptu game with family or strangers. The rock climbing wall was cool. There is also a small slide and small diving board. Family rooms are available as well as the expected locker rooms for men and women. Front desk staff (Molly) was extremely friendly and helpful. Lifeguards were a little less friendly, but maybe it’s because they took their job seriously. They still did their job well, which having 4 kids I prefer. The family deal on Thursday n

I loved the place! There's a lap pool with cooler water around 80F with a diving board, slide and a climbing wall. My kids loved the slide! Then they have a leisure pool that's zero depth on one side, perfect for the little ones. The water temperature is around 100F. The prices were decent too. Kids are $3 and adults are $11. We are going there again today.
