Rustic Rook's Grain Bin Villas

My family and I had the pleasure of staying in one of Rustic Rook's grain bins last Fall. I wholeheartedly recommend it! We were charmed by the cleverness of the design—it's super cute and a brilliant use of space, materials, and location. It’s such a unique idea. The accommodations themselves are comfortable and thoughtful, making for an incredibly pleasant stay. But the absolute highlight was the upstairs main bedroom. The large windows look straight out into the mountains, offering one of the best sunrise scenes you could ever hope to enjoy – without leaving your bed. The layout features the main bedroom upstairs, with the bathroom and kitchen conveniently located downstairs. We loved staying in this beautifully constructed sturdy grain bin. The view from the upstairs window of the mountains and sand dunes was breathtaking and so nice to wake up to see the sunrise from the warm indoors on the chilly mornings. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom shower was amazing as well as a nicely supplied kitchen area.Check in was easy and we had such a wonderful time visiting the sand dunes and doing some amazing hiking at Zapata falls and other places within an hour around the area and returning to a comfortable lodging in the evening and seeing the sun rises and sunsets as well as early morning walks around the bins. My husband I enjoyed a wonderful stay at Rustic Rook Resort. While we stayed in an estate tent, we got to tour a grain bin. We thought that it was so comfortable and unique. We plan to return to stay in one of the bins, hopefully this year. The staff was great and we enjoyed the glampground, breakfast, s'more's, etc, as well as going to the Sand Dunes, Zapata Falls and Colorado Gators. I highly recommend Rustic Rook!

I stayed at Rustic Rook Resort and truly could not have been more pleased. As an older traveler, I always notice the little things, and Annette’s attention to detail meant so much to me. She made sure everything was fully functional and easy to access. Even getting to the upper floor was comfortable and manageable, and I never once felt inconvenienced. The space itself was so cozy and thoughtfully designed. From the windows, I loved watching the colors of the San Luis Valley shift throughout the day. There is something very special about that wide, open landscape, especially during the start of the colder season. It felt peaceful, serene, and restorative.
