Camp Dune

We loved staying at Camp Dune for an off-the-beaten path glamping experience! Bella and Dexter were incredibly kind and accommodating. Our favorite part was the stars and being able to experience the dark sky zone. We also loved how close it was to explore the Dunes! Highly recommend

What an absolutely magical place. I spent a week there and was mesmerized by the endless skies and untouched nature mixed with the most incredible hospitality. Chris went out of his way every day--all day--to make sure we were comfortable, hydrated, and happy, and that we ate gourmet-level meals (even the burgers were not just burgers) that went beyond expectation. The tents were large and the cots comfortable. Showers and bathrooms were good. The hike up the dunes was tough but really amazing. Each night Chris set a bonfire where our group told stories and laughed and songs. We were there for the photography which every direction catered to. It was wonderful. One of those trips you never want to end. I will definitely go back.

This place is truly magical and the camp hosts are absolutely incredible. Dexter and Isabella were so welcoming and helpful with everything we needed. The camp is the perfect place to stay while exploring the Great Sand Dunes and the San Luis Valley. They have multiple glamping tents that are spaced far apart so that you feel secluded and personal. They also have plenty of space to set up your own tent.

My stay here was absolutely perfect! I forgot my tent stakes but Dexter and Bella had plenty for me to borrow. The restroom and outdoor shower was such a nice luxury while camping here! The food at the cantina was delicious. Our hosts (Dexter, Bella, and Chris) were so kind and accommodating! I highly recommend staying here when in the valley!!

Camp Dune has been the highlight of our summer so far. Dexter and his wife were the best hosts we have ever had when camping or on vacation. We received a tour of the place before we set up camp, they let us pick our tent, and we were able to be secluded from other campers. What shocked us the most was when a huge windstorm came through, they checked on every individual site to secure the tents and asked if we were okay. Fantastic place and we will be returning again before it gets too cold. I don't review many places, but I had to because this place is sooooo great.
