Royal Inn

The rooms are horrible. Filthy. Dust every where , and I do mean every where. The sheets were not changed either. They just barely pulled up the covers and did not even try to make it look like it was changed. I called the office to get changed to another room. He changed my room without a problem. It wasn't much better. I itches all night. The only reason I stayed is because it had started snowing and freezing rain. I was stuck. If you want a cheap motel, this is not it either. I paid 90.00 . This place should be inspected by a health department. I usually do not like to leave reviews like this but this hotel needs to improve, at least clean the room and change the sheets.

Positive: Convenience to the location of volunteer assignment and desk staff did work quickly to furnish another room, which was clean. Negative: The 1st room was not completely clean: dirty towels remained, and old rusty grate, no toiletry products, cigarette odor in room.

Bud bugs in my room asked for another room they said didn't have I asked politely cause I was already there for 5 hrs before I seen them and my ride was at work and it was 11 pm he gave me another room and low and behold cockroaches 2 hrs into my stay in that room. The neighbors were yelling and partying all night and started back up at 7 am. Probably one of the worse motels I ever stayed at and I been to the hood in Nashville, Memphis, Huntsville Alabama,Atlanta GA, and never been in a place so bad and they changed me 65 cash

You get what you pay for. Beds were clean. Rooms were filthy. Literally dust bunnies and bottle caps on the night stand. Good air and hot water. No coffee pot in room. No lobby so no coffee there. Thankfully McDonalds was 5 minutes away. Desk clerk was really creepy. Kept watching us when we were out of our rooms, etc. and finally the swimming pool wasn’t opened and looked like it hadn’t been opened in a few years.

It's one star because of the owner. Otherwise, most of the employees there are pleasant and honest. Seems like a good, safe place to spend the night if you need it. I wouldn't stay there long though...
