Royal Inn Provo

BLACK MOLD IN THE ROOM. There was a ton of black mold in the showers. We stayed two nights and both rooms had unpainted, some type of substance or blood, dirt, etc on the walls, and then we brought up the black mold to the front desk and they were defensive. The business acts like they have a good rate and are fast and available but in reality cover up serious issues. Would recommend going across the street to River Inn instead for the same price.

The first room was not clean, had an unpleasant odor, and several facilities, including the bed, fridge, TV, lights, and curtains (which had holes), were not functioning properly. My boyfriend paid extra to change rooms, but the mattress was uncomfortable and caused back pain, and we experienced allergy symptoms. Service was not particularly friendly during our room change request, and we observed a guest with a pet smoking despite the hotel’s no-pet and no-smoking policy. Overall, the quality did not meet expectations for the price.

The room was very nice. Staff was very friendly. Let us pay early and then we returned later at check in. I reserved the room for my brother in law Greg. He loved it. He needed a room for one night and it was very close to his employment. They no longer serve breakfast, but other than that it was great. The price was very reasonable. Thank you Royal Inn.
