Route 66 Desert Rose Motel Country Inn Vega Tx

Tv didn't work and very little water pressure but didn't bother with contacting the managenent. Did accommodate our three dogs and two cats on our move back to Colorado. Just a necessary stop along the way. Owner recently purchased the motel on Route 66.

This motel was very clean and friendly. It is a no frills place but is priced reasonably. I'd happily stay here again . I wish more motels were like this one - reasonable rates and doesn't smell funny. A/C worked great, good wifi, lots of tv channels, hot water, comfortable bed, quiet town. I prefer to stay in motels located in smaller towns rather than cities.

After trying to find an affordable room online via several booking sites and seeing prices, availability, and locations change with each click of a button, we became very frustrated and decided to do things the old fashioned way: walk into the nearest hotel and talk to someone about getting a room for the night. We couldn't have been more pleased. The person at the counter was not only the staff but the fairly new owner of this place and was sympathetic of our exasperating/frustrating/exhausting experience. It was understood that we were tired and didn't have a huge budget and not only were accommodations made reasonable for us, but clean and comfortable at that. Nothing fancy but we're just a couple of real folks living in the struggle like everyone else. This was exactly what we needed.

I Enjoy this family… Florida to Texas - their hospitality, food quality and service are Stellar and you can Guarantee you will find me at The Desert Rose next time I am traveling back to CA via Route 66! If you like the personal touch and “getter done”attitude stop over for a break or longer rest during your road trip…the Desert Rose on Route 66 won’t disappoint!
