Bonanza Motel. Ragini

Bonanza Hotel is located on old Route 66 just off I-40 in Vega, TX. Parking is convenient right in front of the outside access rooms. The room we were booked in was clean and the king bed we slept in was comfortable. However, the room lacked sufficient width for the two king beds leaving only about 16 inches of space between the wall and bed, requiring me to side step to get out of the bed. The space was better suited for two queens beds or one king bed. I had to get down on my hands and knees and move the cabinet to plug the micowave and refrigerator. The desk chair arm rests were worn and pealing, and the lounge chair and ottoman were worn and stained. I killed 6 flies in the room. The bathroom was clean, had a large shower (no bathtub), had plenty of ot water and nice soap and

We had a comfortable, clean room. The A/C worked well (important in the Texas summer heat). The proprietor is very nice and kind. All in all, a great stay. I took off one star, because there are very few electrical outlets in the room which aren't already dedicated to lights and appliances.

Great place will go again

Nothing wrong with this place. Older, classic Route 66 motel. Not fancy but it is clean and not expensive. Perfect for a hot shower and a quiet nights sleep

A Vega TX institution. Recently painted and updated this iconic motel is a solid choice for lodging and is a convenient place to stop and rest while traveling on Route 66. Quiet, comfortable and clean. Everything you need and nothing you do not. The ottoman and chair in room could use a good steam clean and the front desk clerk could do with a personality, minor issues in an otherwise 5 star experience if clean, comfortable, convenient and cost efficient are your Benchmarks.
