Rodeway Inn Point Pleasant Beach

Staff was wonderful. Room was OK. A little maintenance would make this a perfect 10. Internet was great, room HVAC worked great. TV was choppy/staticy. Closet was moldy and hot water tap on hottub put out brown water until the water heater was emptied completely.

Vacationers expect to pay a premium for a place to stay down the shore in summer, but the room conditions should reflect a minimum standard of quality that this Rodeway Inn doesn’t come close to meeting. It is clear this hotel is struggling with keeping up with maintenance and basic supplies. The person who greeted us was friendly and efficient. The facility itself is in general disrepair. We referred to our room as the “poets room” because the matting on a print on the wall was torn and someone actually wrote a poem on it in marker, other folks added their own messages as well. It reminded me more of a lean-to than an hotel room I’m embarrassed I paid almost $300 a night for!! The room was nice, clean and cozy. The staff was amazing and try to accommodate our needs as much as possible. I would love to stay here again if I'm visiting NJ in the future!

After another area motel failed to keep my reservation, I was scrambling to find another place to stay in town, on a holiday weekend. The reviews had me very nervous, but with very limited choices, I decided to take the chance. Glad I did as our stay there was good. The room was clean, did not see any bugs (as other reviews claimed), no mold, no smell in the room. The pool area was decent, but we didn't use it as we spent our time at the beach. My only complaint was our next door neighbor who kept coming out of his room and talking at a loud voice throughout the night - along with whatever friends he had there. I had brought our own pillows, but the bed was fine. Pretty firm, but not uncomfortable. It is not located in a walkable area, so we could not walk to the beach if we wanted to, so

Front desk was consistently rudw. Heat didnt work in bathroom . Drug dealing people up all night. Microwave didnt work.
