Customer Reviews
Awesome family camping spot with lots of outdoors activities and the opportunity to meet friendly families who are also enjoying the outdoors and being unplugged for a week or two. The cabins are spacious and clean, and each cabin has its own deck where one can store rented or personal water vessels. The lake is huge, and the water is clean. Many rent kayaks, canoes, or water bikes that allow young and old to enjoy water activities everyday. The days may be warm in August but the nights in the deep woods of New Hampshire are usually very cool. Accessibility to many mountains for day hikes or the daily quick hike up rattle snake to enjoy awesome views of Squam Lake. The staff at RDC are always friendly and approachable. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner offer a variety of food to satisfy ever
Terrible! The staff are extremely rude, but the management even more so. I had a minor complaint about my cabin and the head manager was very rude and dismissive. My complaint was never addressed. The food is awful, and the activities dull and tiresome. There are so many beautiful places on Squam lake, I suggest elsewhere.
Best glamping experience ever!Rustic, but not too rustic. Love having an ice box instead of a fridge; keeps the hum of modern appliances and fixtures down. Great place to relax, create, write, reflect and play.
Our family has been to RDC for generations and loves it. It's always a pleasure to have so many family friendly sports and activities, and to have staff that are so helpful and accommodating. The cabins are also wonderful.
I have been coming to this camp for 40+ years. Just left the camp a week ago for my summer visit. The cabins can accommodate 2 people up to 15/20. They are rustic with all of the amenities. The staff cleans the cabin and delivers fresh towels, firewood, ice blocks from the lake daily. Most cabins have big screened in porches to sit, relax and admire the beautiful lake. Organized activities include cookouts, wacky canoe, sailing, capture the flag, ultimate frisbee, softball, tennis, pickle ball, ping pong, crafts, yoga, shore swims, island picnics, and much more. The per night fee includes all of this plus 3 prepared meals per day. The good is really good and offers much variety for those with dietary restrictions. See you next year!
