We were in site 126 which was a little tight for two tents. Sites are close to one another. Bathrooms need maintenance- 2 of the 3 woman’s stalls do not have locks at all (including the handicap stall). Definitely in need of some updating. The camp store was lacking- no feminine products or lots of typical “forgotten” items in the store. Sadly seems that this campground has been neglected in upkeep and maintenance. Do not think I will be returning, but worked well enough for a quick and local camping trip over the holiday weekend.
Large park with lots of areas to drive and park for fishing, trails, and a boat rental. I’ve been camping numerous times throughout my life and love it. This campground was really great! My campsite 124 was the perfect nook at the end of a loop which provided great shade and privacy. The site was about 50 yards from the bathrooms (bathrooms are plumbing toilets and shower stalls). One note - the bathrooms were not well maintained. Love that all the sites have grills attached to the fire pits, made it super convenient for cooking!! Our site also has enough room for games with our 6 person tent set up. It was very roomy even with our car parked. Overall we had a great time! Beautiful park and an overall good camping experience!
Nice Campground! I had an electric site and asked if I was allowed to charge my EV and they said sure! Not actually sure if this is the official policy as the Camp Host has never been asked before but it was nice to be able to charge! Lots of turkeys running around as well, so potentially fun or and issue of you have a dog
I haven't had such a good, peaceful and enjoyable camping experience in a really long time. We stayed in a tent, part of a group of campers, some of who stayed in campers, some tents, and some converted buses. Some of us enjoyed a 7 mile hike, others concentrated on kayaking, and although it was quite chill by night, being twelve days before Halloween, the experience was truly memorable. One of our most exciting activities was a nightly kayak trip. Two days after full moon, and wind-silent, our photos resulted in unreal clarity and reflections. The staff at the store was friendly and helpful, but the ice ran out kind of quickly. That was the only little pity. The fact that they sell wood was a big bonus! The best characteristic about the park is it's silence. Early morning, and night time,
Right off the interstate EZ to get to. Has lots of RV spots most electric only. But for an overnight and ez to get to it is fantastic. Wildlife is plentiful turkeys, squirrels and 🦌 deer. Hope you have a wonderful stay..
